The

Robot-assisted surgery has quickly become the standard of care in many medical disciplines, enabling surgeons to perform complex procedures with greater flexibility, precision, and control. However, surgical robots have been limited to the medical professions… until now.

The Yomi® is the first and only robotic device for dental implant surgery that the FDA has cleared. At Knoxville Smiles in Knoxville, Tennessee, we are proud to be one of the two dental practices in the state to provide patients with the next level of care using this revolutionary technology.

Personalized precision dentistry with Yomi

With its advanced digital systems, Yomi:

Provides real-time multi-sensory guidance

Enables us to monitor your nerve locations and other orofacial structures

Helps us to alter your treatment plan based on real-time information quickly

Allows for a less-invasive implant surgical experience

What to expect with Yomi?

Before your dental implant placement, we will scan your mouth and face to generate highly detailed images. We then use advanced software to customize your treatment plan, including details such as the type, location, angle, and depth of implants.

During your implant placement, the Yomi uses audio and visual cues to guide our hand into the precise angle and location required for each implant. We are in complete control of the procedure at all times and can freely move the Yomi arm based on our expert judgment.
